Frédéric Lancien

Frédéric Lancien (born February 14, 1971 in Concarneau ) is a former French track cyclist .

In 1991, Frédéric Lancien and Denis Lemyre came third in the tandem race at the World Railroad Championships in Stuttgart . In the same year he finished second in the 1000-meter time trial at the French track championships . The following year he was third in the national sprint championships . In 1995 he became French champion in keirin and third in sprint. In 1995, at the World Railroad Championships in Bogotá , he was involved in Patrice Sulpice's serious fall , after which he remained paralyzed. At the 1998 Track Cycling World Cup in Victoria , he finished second in the time trial and team sprint , together with John Giletto and Frédéric Magné .

Lancien started the time trial at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and finished sixth.

He is married to the former track cyclist Nathalie Lancien . His father, Roger Lancien , was also a well-known racing cyclist .
