Frédéric Volle

Frédéric Volle (born February 4, 1966 in Montpellier ) is a former French handball player and world champion of 1995.

In his career, Frédéric Volle played for USAM Nîmes , OM Vitrolles , SG Wallau / Massenheim and Montpellier AHB , among others , his greatest success at club level was winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1993 with OM Vitrolles. With Nîmes and Vitrolles, Volle was French champion several times.

From 1987 to 1996 he played in the national team , which scored 1,016 goals in 241 missions. Volle played as a director in the middle back room , where, in addition to his own scoring danger, he also brought in the choice of moves for his neighbors. Volle won three international medals with the national team: bronze at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​silver at the 1993 World Cup and gold at the 1995 World Cup , these were the first three international medals ever for French handball. After finishing fourth at the 1996 Olympic Games , he resigned from the national team and moved to Germany for SG Wallau / Massenheim.

Volle now lives in Canada, his wife's home.
