Fraitsch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fraitsch was an orphaned Vorwerk of the municipality Schlöben in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis in Thuringia .

location

The Vorwerk is located on the Wöllmisse west of Rabis in a larger open space on the south-eastern slope of the Wöllmisse. The so-called airship is located in a north-easterly direction at 405 meters above sea level .

history

Fraitsch was first mentioned in a document on September 7, 1358. The Fraitsch and the airship were two repopulated places on the Wöllmisse. The Fraitsch was spelled differently from time to time. It was located in a valley southwest of the airship and was named desolate as early as 1516 . Later he became Vorwerk again. For centuries the Vorwerk has been used - presumably mainly by a shepherd - as a building complex with a house, barn and stable. After 1945, two families resettled from the east with many children as new farmers up on the slope became owners of the land. They received 24 hectares of arable land and 6 hectares of forest. A Neubauer also sat on the airship. Between the Vorwerk and the old road to the plateau, an important find was found in 1856 during expansion work on a quarry, the Schlöben depot find.

A family used the beauty of nature and the location and created a place of rest and relaxation in the early 1990s.
