Framranten ( Norwegian for protruding hill ) is a rocky headland in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It extends from the hill Kuvungen in a north-westerly direction near the south-western end of Kirwanveggen .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the headland, carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
