The Kuvungen ( Norwegian for humpback child ) is a hill in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises immediately southeast of the headland of Framranten near the southwest end of Kirwanveggen in Maudheimvidda .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the hill, carried out a mapping using aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
