The François Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of British Columbia .

It is located approximately 30 km south of Burns Lake and 10 km west of Fraser Lake . It is one of the " Nechako Lakes " in British Columbia Interior . With a length of 110 km, it is the second longest natural lake in British Columbia after Babine Lake . The Nadina River flows to the lake at its western end. The Stellako River drains François Lake on the northeastern bank to the northeastern Fraser Lake .

The lake is popular for fishing. There are rainbow trout and brook trout caught.

The 72.14 km² François Lake Provincial Park and the Uncha Mountain Red Hills Provincial Park are located on François Lake.
