Fraser Lake is a lake in the north-central part of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Fraser Lake is one of the " Nechako Lakes ". It is located at an altitude of about 666  m on the Nechako Plateau . It covers an area of ​​55 km². The east-west longitudinal extension is 19 km. The main tributaries are the Stellako River in the southwest and Ormond Creek in the north. The Nautley River forms the outflow on the eastern shore of the lake to the nearby Nechako River . There is the Nautley Indian reservation (Fort Fraser) 1 of the Nadleh Whut'en First Nation . In the lake is the small island of Ellis Island . It is located in the Ellis Island Ecological Reserve . Beaumont Provincial Park is on the southeast bank . The Yellowhead Highway ( BC Highway 16 ) runs not far from the southern lake shore. It passes the Fraser Lake community on the western south shore. Simon Fraser is the namesake of the lake and the coastal town of the same name .

In the lake u. a. the following fish species: burbot , char , rainbow trout and sockeye salmon . The lake and the marshland on the lakeshore form the habitat for various birds such as red-shouldered blackbird , Canada geese , loons and warblers .
