François Zimmer (born July 8, 1860 in Niederjeutz ; † September 7, 1920 ) was a banker and member of the second chamber of the regional parliament of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine for the center .

François Zimmer attended the Catholic elementary school in Niederjeutz and the middle school in Diedenhofen . He was a banker in Diedenhofen and Vice President of the Metz Chamber of Commerce .

He was a member of the local council in Diedenhofen, from 1900 to 1908 an alderman there and from 1903 to 1911 a member of the state committee.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran in the constituency of Diedenhofen - Großhettingen as a candidate for the Independent Lothringer Party. In the first ballot, 4,446 votes were cast in the constituency of the 5,274 eligible voters. François Zimmer received 2,288 votes , the independent candidate Decker 1,666 and the Social Democrat Schwarz 471 votes. François Zimmer was a member of the state parliament until 1918 and was secretary there .
