Françoise Prévost (* around 1680, probably in Paris , † 1741 in Paris ) was a French dancer and prima ballerina
In 1699 she made her debut in Jean-Baptiste Lully's Atys at the Paris Opera . For over 30 years she was considered the first prima ballerina in her country. Her style was characterized by extraordinary grace, lightness and expressiveness. Her preferred partner was Jean Balon . She also taught at the Académie royale de danse . In 1730 she withdrew from the stage.
