France miniature is a French miniature park in Élancourt ( Yvelines department ) in the Île-de-France region , 25 kilometers west of Paris . The five-hectare theme park , opened in 1991 , is currently operated by Grévin & Cie and receives around 200,000 visitors annually.

The site has the layout of a map of France. It is partially surrounded by water basins, the borders of which are modeled on the shape of the French coast. The island of Corsica is also shown . A small-format five-kilometer-long rail network runs through the park, on which 17 model trains run. For these were features of the SNCF as the TGV -Hochgeschwindigkeitszug or Corail - Express as a model.

In between, in various regions and landscapes laid out in miniature and relief, 140 scale models of well-known cultural monuments of France can be found, such as the Roman amphitheater of Arles , the fortified church of Mont-Saint-Michel , the castles of Chenonceau , Chambord and Versailles , the Eiffel Tower , the Garabit Viaduct , Le Corbusier's Church of Ronchamp , the Stade de France , the town of Saint-Tropez and others. The scale of the models is 1:30.
