Frances Cuka

Frances Cuka (born August 21, 1936 in London - † February 16, 2020 ) was a British film and television actress .

Life

Cuka was born in London to Letitia Alice Annie, a seamstress, and Joseph Cuka, an engraver. Her now fifty-year acting career has included numerous roles in both films and television productions. Well-known series in which she appeared are for example The Watcher and Coronation Street . In 1970 she played the wife of Bob Cratchit in the musical film Scrooge and the role of Catherine of Aragón in the historical film Henry VIII and his Six Wives (1972) . In later years she starred in supporting roles in Snow White , Swimming Pool and Oliver Twist. Until the last years of her life, she stood in front of the camera for film and television productions.

In addition, she occasionally worked as a theater actress and appeared in stage performances of literary works in 1958 and 2010.
