Francesca Bertolli
Francesca Bertolli (* around 1710 in Rome ; † January 9, 1767 in Bologna ) was an Italian opera singer ( alto ).
Life
She is primarily known for her collaboration with Georg Friedrich Handel , for whom she sang in numerous operas and oratorios in London between 1729 and 1733 and between 1737 and 1740 .
She moved to the competing Opera of the Nobility in 1733 , but returned to Handel in 1737. Between 1740 and 1742 she sang in Turin , Vicenza , Venice and Genoa . After their wedding, she ended her stage career and settled in Bologna.
