Francis Etouké

Francis Joseph Mbondjo Etouké (born August 12, 1975 in Douala , Cameroon ) is a German football coach and former football player. Etouké played as a striker for VfL Bochum II in the Southwest Regional Football League , in the Turkish Süper Lig and the Indonesian League 1 . He has been a coach since 2005 and, among other things, looked after the U-17 team at MSV Duisburg .

Life

Francis Etouké was born as the son of the insurance salesman Mbondjo Ndoume Emmanuel Etouké and his wife Mbondjo Ndoume Kwedi in the Cameroonian port city of Douala. He lived in Douala until he was 19, and in 1994 he emigrated with his family to France, where he graduated from the Lycee Jacques-Jacar Jaures in Paris . Etouké came to Germany in 1996 through a players' agent . He played in different clubs, in 2002 he moved to the first Turkish league and in 2002 returned to Germany. In 2004 Etouké suffered a torn cruciate ligament and had to take a long break. His last stop as a player was in Indonesia . He came back to Germany in 2009 and has been working as a trainer , sports teacher and in personal training ever since . Etouké has the DFB A license, B license and C license as well as the A license for medical fitness training.

Player career

Etouké began playing football in his native Cameroon at the age of eight. Since the first club was the Kadji Sport Academy de Douala , in 1990 he moved to Stade de Bonaberi. At the age of 16, Etouké was in the squad of the Caïman Club de Douala and was voted the greatest talent and best young player in the first division in Cameroon. At 18 he was the captain of his team. In 1993, Etouké moved to the top club and traditional club of the Liga 1 Union Sportive de Douala .

In 1996 Etouké signed his first professional contract in Germany and was voted best player of the year in the area for his performance at SuS 09 Dinslaken in the North Rhine-Westphalian football league .

From 1998 to 2000 Etouké was under contract with the second division club VfL Bochum , where he had most of his appearances in the second team in the Southwest Regional Football League .

In 2000 he received an offer from the Turkish first division club Adanaspor and played there until 2001. He was used in five games in the Süper Lig .

For the following season Etouké returned to Germany due to an injury and stayed fit at Reyther Spielverein and Bonner SC until his full recovery . In 2003 he signed a contract with Alemannia Aachen and was there with the amateurs. In 2004 he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture while training and had to take a long break. Etouké played his last season 2005-2006 in the first Indonesian league with the traditional club PSS Sleman .
