Francis Fleming

Sir Francis Fleming KCMG ( chin.菲林明; * 1842 ; † 1922 ) was a British colonial official.

Fleming represented in his employment as Chief Secretary on the island of Mauritius from July 2, 1887 and December 11, 1888 and from December 11 to December 17, 1889, the Governor Sir John Pope Hennessyals . After serving as Chief Secretary in Hong Kong from 1890 onwards, he officially took over the governorship of Sierra Leone in 1892 from William Hollingworth Quayle Jones, who had last deputized in his function as Chief Secretary and also during Fleming's tenure until 1894 whose absence was deputy governor. He was then governor of the Leeward Islands from 1895 to 1901 .

He married Constance Kavanagh in 1892 and was knighted in the same year. A street in Wan Chai has been named after him since the end of the 19th century.
