Life

Francisco P. Bollini is the son of the Italian architect Francisco Bollini (1814–1887). During the term of office of Francisco Seeber, Bollini held the office of vice-president at the Concejo Deliberante de Buenos Aires and in 1890 Seebers succeeded him in the mayor's office. At that time Argentina was going through its first severe economic crisis, as a result of which President Miguel Juárez Celman resigned on August 6th.

During Bollini's tenure, Carlos Thays was appointed director of parks and walks, as well as the approval of the plans for the Botanical Garden in Buenos Aires . The most important project, however, was the initiative to build a new town hall , which was inaugurated in 1893.

Bollini died in 1921 and was buried in the family's mausoleum at La Recoleta Cemetery.
