Francisco José Cruz González (* 1945 ) is a Mexican ambassador .

Life

Francisco José Cruz González studied law and history at the Universidad Iberoamericana . From 1962 to 1963 he worked for the law firm "Bremer, Quintana, Vaca, Rocha, Obregón y Mancera" in Mexico City. From 1968 to 1970 he worked as a secretary in the legal department of the Universidad Iberoamericana . From 1970 to 1981 and from 1992 to 1994 he was Professor of Constitutional Law, Public International Law and Investment Protection. From 1966 to 1967 he was head of the civil aviation contract department at the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público . From 1973 to 1974 he was a consultant. From 1974 to 1977 he was Deputy Head of the Investment Protection Department in Mexico. From 1977 to 1979 he advised on tax incentives. In 1979 he was legal advisor for the “Astilleros Unidos” in Mexico. In 1970 he joined the foreign service. From 1981 to 1985 he was in the Intellectual Property Protection Department of the Representation of Mexico at international organizations in Geneva. From 1985 to 1992 he was the office manager of the Mexican embassy in Buenos Aires. From 1992 to 1994 he was legal advisor to the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores . From 1994 to 1995 he was head of the development cooperation department. From 1995 to 2001, from his embassy in Rabat, he was also accredited by the governments of Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Gabon. From 2001 to 2005 he was also accredited by the government in Kiev from his embassy in Warsaw until December 2006. He is doing a thesis on European economic integration at the Universidad de Deusto . He chairs the law firm Cruz González y Asociados in Mexico City.
