Franck Jurietti (born March 30, 1975 in Valence ) is a former French football player . Most recently, the defender was under contract with Ligue 1 representative Girondins Bordeaux .

Career

society

Jurietti's professional career began in the summer of 1993 at Olympique Lyon , where he already played for the junior teams. After he was not used in any game, he moved to FC Gueugnon in Ligue 2 for three seasons after only one season . With them he celebrated promotion to Ligue 1 in 1994/95 , but the club rose again after one season. For the 1997/98 season he signed with SC Bastia and stayed with them for three years. In July 2000 he joined AS Monaco , but was never really able to assert himself there. After a year and a half, he was loaned to league rivals Olympique Marseille for six months . After another season with the Monegasque, he moved to Bordeaux . There he developed into a top performer and national player. His current contract with the port city residents is valid until 2009. Jurietti can be used on both the right and left flanks.

National team

Jurietti's national team career is not very successful. In October 2005 Raymond Domenech appointed him to the squad of the French national soccer team . He played his first and so far last game on October 12, 2005, in the 4-0 win against the Cyprus selection , when he was substituted on five seconds before the final whistle. (Status: May 2007) Jurietti is the player with the shortest appearance in the French national team, replacing Bernard Boissier , who made a two-minute debut against Portugal on April 26, 1975 .
