Franco Bracardi

Franco Bracardi (born May 16, 1937 in Rome , † February 17, 2005 ibid) was an Italian composer , musician and actor .

Life

Bracardi began his career as a jazz pianist in the 1950s. During the years of the beat boom he played and composed the keyboards for Group I Flippers ; Its members included Massimo Catalano on trumpet and Lucio Dalla , who took over the vocal part. From 1966 he was in demand as a composer for other artists, including Mina and Raffaella Carrà . Four years later he was a member of the popular radio program "Alto Gradimento", which was directed by Renzo Arbore and which also included Bracardi's brother Giorgio . Until the mid-1980s Bracardi worked repeatedly for the RAI ; most prominently for the long-time broadcast “Discoring”.

Bracardi continued to record with various groups and wrote for performers. From 1982 on, he was an integral part of the television program as the pianist of the “ Maurizio Costanzo Show” until his death. In addition, from the mid-1970s to the end of the following decade, he appeared repeatedly as an actor in supporting roles in several comedies.
