Franco Sar
Franco Sar (born December 21, 1933 in Arborea , † October 1, 2018 in Monza ) was an Italian decathlete .
In 1960 he was sixth at the Olympic Games in Rome .
At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade in 1962 and at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he came in 13th place. In 1966 he was twelfth at the European Championships in Budapest .
From 1958 to 1965 he was Italian champion eight times in a row, most recently with his personal best of 7368 points. In 1963 he also won the national pole vault title .
