Frank Schirrmacher Prize
The Frank Schirrmacher Prize was awarded in 2015 by the Frank Schirrmacher Foundation and is endowed with 20,000 Swiss francs . He refers to the German journalist and essayist Frank Schirrmacher (1959–2014).
The prize is intended to honor personalities and their work or a life's work for “outstanding achievements in understanding current events”. The award ceremony is to take place at three different locations every year: in Berlin , at the University of Zurich and as part of the Eventi Letterari event series in Ascona . The jury consists of the members of the foundation board.
