Frank Affolter (born November 14, 1957 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch pianist and composer .
Live and act
His career is closely linked to that of his older sister Heddy Lester . In 1977 he wrote the title De mallemolen , with which she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest and reached twelfth place. In collaboration with the text writer Wim Hogenkamp , a number of solo programs for Lester were created in the following years.
In the mid-1980s, Affolter achieved a small hit in his home country as a solo artist with the single The Way To Love / Het is nog niet te laat . He also played the title track of the Dutch version of the Disney series DuckTales .
From the end of the 1990s he created the musical productions Alleen Op De Wereld and Merlijn . On May 4, 2007 he celebrated the world premiere with the production of the piece 10 Duizend zakdoeken , a tribute to his parents, who both survived the concentration camp during World War II .
