Frank Crijns

Frank Crijns (* 1960 ) is a Dutch guitarist, improvisation musician and composer.

Crijns studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Peter-Jan Wagemans and Klaas de Vries . He then worked with musicians such as Fred Frith , Elliott Sharp , Tim Hodgkinson , Pavel Fajt and Jacques Palinckx .

With Dick Bruinsma , Paed Conca and Fabrizio Spera he founded the Blast4tet , with which he recorded several albums. As a composer he has worked for groups such as the Percussion Ensemble Attacca , the Dutch Ballet Orchestra , the Trio Nu , the saxophone quartets Quasar and Koh-I-Noor , the flute trio Tegenwind and many others. He also emerged as a composer of new music and improvisational music.
