Saadet Türköz (* 1961, Istanbul ) is a Kazakh-Turkish singer and composer.

She grew up in Istanbul as the daughter of Kazakh migrants and has lived in Zurich since the 1980s . She initially worked as a journalist, translator in the field of asylum and Shiatsu therapist. As an adult, she found the culture of her homeland, East Turkestan . After recordings with a partly folkloric touch at the beginning, Türköz has opened up to improvised music in recent years and has incorporated the tonal languages ​​of the present into her work. In addition, interpretations of Turkish and Kazakh music continue to shape her performances and productions. In addition to solo appearances, she occasionally appears in duos, trios and larger formations of freely improvising (jazz) musicians.

Türköz works in duos with Nils Wogram (Switzerland / Germany), Martin Schütz (Switzerland) ;, Urs Leimgruber (Switzerland), Pascal Schaer (Switzerland), Jaques Widmer (Switzerland), Elliott Sharp (USA), Okkyung Lee (Korea, USA) ); Eyvind Kang (USA), Peggy Lee (USA), Xu Fengxia (China / Germany), Carl Stone (USA / Japan) and Miya Masaoka (USA).

She has appeared in a trio with Fredy Studer , drums and guest instrumentalist (Urumchi-Uyghur Region / Switzerland) as well as with Urs Leimgruber, saxophone and Uwe Oberg , piano (Switzerland / Germany), Satoshi Takeishi or Mark Dresser and Okkyung Lee (Korea / USA ) and with Larry Ochs and Miya Masaoka, (USA).

She formed quartets with the trio “what we live”: Larry Ochs, Lisle Ellis , Don Robinson , (USA) and with the trio Koch- Schütz- Studer (Switzerland). She has also performed with the quintet "Blast", in which she works with Dirk Bruinsma (Holland), Paed Conca (Switzerland), Frank Crijns , (Holland) and Fabrizio Spera , (Italy).
