Pavel Fajt

Pavel Fajt (born December 25, 1957 in Brno ) is a Czech jazz and rock drummer.

Fajt began as a composer of drama and dance music in the early 1980s. In 1983 he was one of the founders of the band Dunaj , which shaped the development of rock music in Czechoslovakia. In 1985 he started working with Iva Bittová , with whom he recorded several albums in the late 1980s and toured Europe, America and Japan. In 1988 they appeared at the MIMI Festival in France with Fred Frith , and in 1989 with Ferdinand Richard .

In the first half of the 1990s he worked a. a. with Vladimír Václavek ( Joseph Boys ), Anna Homler and Geert Waegeman ( The Birds of Europe ) and in duos with Mikolás Chadima and Jim Meneses . In 1995 he founded the group Pluto with singer Václav Bartos , guitarist Petr Zavadil and bassist Tomás Fröhlich , with whom he recorded several albums.

In the late 1990s he worked with the Danubians (with Amy Denio ) and the Hungarian rock group Kampec Dolores . In the early 2000s he performed with the Sakha singer Stepanida Borisova .
