Anna Homler

Anna Homler (born November 1, 1948 in Los Angeles ) is an American vocalist and performance artist .

Live and act

Homler studied anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley until 1970 ; an MA in Education and Languages ​​from Boston University followed in 1973.

She has worked in the artistic field since 1982 and initially presented her cassette Breadwoman with Steve Moshier . Her debut album Dó Ya Sá di Dó followed in 1992 . Her installation Pharmacia Poetica was part of the exhibition Outside the Frame: Performance and the Object in 1994 and 1995 , which was also shown in Europe. Homler has worked in North America with artists such as Jorge Martín, David Moss , Ethan James and Steve Roden . She has also performed on European tours with the Voices of Kwahn , Frank Schulte , Steve Beresford , Peter Kowald , Richard Sanderson and Geert Waegeman / Pavel Fajt . She has presented herself at the MusikTriennale Köln and the Moers Festival , the Musique Actuelle Festival in Victoriaville and the Voices Festival in Innsbruck.
