Frank stool

Frank Hocker (born February 13, 1956 in Bischofswerda ) is a German guitarist and singer.

Career

In 1981, Hocker joined the Cologne band Schroeder Roadshow as the second guitarist alongside Gert Beracz and took part in the tour, which was documented on the 1982 live LP Deutschland, Deutschland . Hocker stayed until the band split up in the mid-1980s.

After the Schroeder time, singer Gerd Köster interpreted songs by Tom Waits in Kölsch as a fun project with The Piano Has Been Drinking . The fun project turned into a band and Frank Hocker was there as a guitarist until the end of 1993. He then accompanied Gerd Köster on his solo albums in the mid-1990s, and from 1996 onwards, Frank Hocker was also mentioned on the cover of the joint records by Köster and Hocker. 2011 Gerd Köster and Frank Hocker perform together with Helmut Krumminga .

In 1986 he took the stage free of charge at the Anti-WAAhnsinns Festival against the planned Wackersdorf reprocessing plant .

In addition to his collaboration with Gerd Köster, Frank Hocker was also involved in other projects in and around Cologne. In 1987 he accompanied Wolfgang Niedecken at the concerts with the Complizen after Niedecken's first solo album Schlagzeiten . In 1992, Hocker took part in the concert of the Arsch huh, Zäng ussenander initiative with The Piano has been Drinking , at the anniversary concert ten years later, Köster and Hocker performed as a duo and in 2012 Köster, Hocker and Krumminga took part as a trio.
