Frank Ronald Huxley (born April 18, 1911 in Chester , † 1995 ) was an English football player .

Career

Huxley was in 1933 as a player from Manchester YMCA with the amateur selection of Lancashire in the final of the Northern Counties Amateur Championship , which ended, however, against West Riding with a 1: 5 defeat. As a result, Huxley played with the Northern Nomads in the Lancashire Combination , including in October 1935, when he helped out for a game at the third division AFC Rochdale . The game, in which he represented Gwyn Jones on the left-back position , ended in a 2-6 home defeat by Oldham Athletic . Huxley is said to have played for Horde Colliery Welfare from the 1936/37 season , but his name can still be found in match reports of the Northern Nomads at least until 1937.
