Frank Mattern

Frank Mattern (born December 24, 1961 in Krefeld ) is a German business economist. From January 2007 to January 2014, he headed McKinsey's Germany office as successor to Jürgen Kluge . Since January 2014, Mattern has been responsible for the functional practices of the management consultancy. He is married and has three children.

Life

Frank Mattern studied at the London School of Economics and the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He then did his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania . During his studies he received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . He has been with McKinsey since 1990 with a focus on finance and IT. He became a partner there in 1995 and director four years later. He became co-founder and global head of the Business Technology Office, which bundles McKinsey's IT consulting expertise. Since January 2007 he has been head of McKinsey Germany. As of January 1, 2014, he will be responsible for Functional Practices worldwide as the successor to David Court . At the end of November, Cornelius Baur was named head of Germany as his successor .
