Cornelius Baur

Cornelius Baur (born April 12, 1962 in Munich ) is a German business economist .

Life

After an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Siemens studied Baur Business Administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and received his doctorate with a thesis on strategic decisions in the automotive industry . Baur has been with McKinsey since 1990. He was elected partner in 1996 and director in 2001. From 2005 to 2013 he headed the Europe-wide operations practice of management consultancy, which is dedicated to optimizing processes in companies. Since 2014 he has been managing the German office of McKinsey , which also includes the Vienna office in Austria, as the successor to Frank Mattern .

He is married and has three children.
