Frank Neppe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frank Neppe (born June 30, 1966 in Hemer ) is a German politician ( non-partisan, previously Die Blue Party , AfD , previously Schill Party ). He has been a member of the city council of Iserlohn since 2014 and a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 . Originally elected for the AfD, he has been non-attached in the state parliament since October 2017.

education and profession

After training as a bank clerk , he went to the Bundeswehr , initially as a sergeant, studied there and graduated with a degree in administration . In the Bundeswehr he served as a civil servant at various locations for 22 years and most recently settled in Iserlohn. He is 50 percent severely disabled and has been a pensioner since 2010. At the state election meeting on 3./4. September 2016, which elected him as a candidate, he announced a secondary job for a tax advisor in addition to his pension, which he had already given up in 2014.

politics

In the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia on May 25, 2014 , he ran for the district assembly of the Märkisches Kreis and became a district assembly member there. He is also the deputy chairman of the parliamentary group in the Iserlohn Council. After leaving the AfD, the AfD parliamentary group there renamed itself to the blue party in the blue parliamentary group .

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he was elected to third place in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He also ran as a direct candidate in the state election district 123 Märkischer Kreis III .

On October 10, 2017, Neppe announced that he was leaving the AfD and the parliamentary group. He justified this u. a. with questionable statements by leading AfD representatives who pushed the AfD further and further into the right corner. As a result, the AfD members would increasingly come into the focus of violent extremists and thus exposed to a considerable risk. He succeeded the former parliamentary group leader Marcus Pretzell and Alexander Langguth , who had left the party and parliamentary group two weeks earlier. Pretzell's wife, then AfD spokeswoman Frauke Petry , had declared her departure from the AfD one day after the 2017 federal election .

Neppe said that despite leaving the AfD and the parliamentary group, he would continue to exercise his mandate and not return it to the party, although this provides for the declaration of honor that all candidates had to submit.

Private

Neppe is a single father of three children. He lives in Iserlohn .
