Frank Niethammer

Frank Niethammer (born April 7, 1931 in Leipzig ; † May 25, 2005 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German business manager.

Life

Niethammer attended the elementary school in Kriebethal , the Oberrealschule Waldheim and the Realgymnasien in Osnabrück and Bad Sooden-Allendorf . He then studied law in Tübingen and Marburg. Then he was a trainee lawyer in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1955 he was an assistant at the Philipps University of Marburg and received his doctorate in 1958.

In 1958 he started as in-house counsel for Treuhand Vereinigung AG. In 1960 he became a deputy board member of the Frisia oil works . In 1963 he moved to the construction company Wayss & Freytag .

Niethammer was a member of the board between 1966 and 1986 and then until 1991 chairman of the board of AGIV Aktiengesellschaft für Industrie- und Verkehrstechnik in Frankfurt am Main.

From 1991 to 2000 he was President of the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2001 he was made honorary president. Until 2001 he was Vice President of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

He was Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cameroon
