Frank Norbert Nagel

Frank Norbert Nagel (born June 16, 1943 in Danzig ) is Professor i. R. for cultural geography at the Institute for Geography at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Frank Norbert Nagel studied architecture from 1962 to 1963 at the TU Braunschweig and from 1964 to 1969 geography , geology and Romance studies in Dijon and Hamburg. In 1975 he did his doctorate on "Burgundy - Structure and Interdependencies of a French Economic Region"; In 1980 he obtained his habilitation on the "Development of the Railway Network in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg (with special consideration of the disused routes)". In 1983 he was appointed Professor of Geography at the University of Hamburg. Frank Nagel is retired, but is still teaching at the Institute of Geography. On behalf of the board of directors of the Geographical Society in Hamburg, he is the editor of the "Mitteilungen der Geographische Gesellschaft in Hamburg (MGGH)". He also publishes the series "Cultural Landscape and Industrial Archeology".
