Frank Novotny (born October 3, 1905 in Triesch , Moravia , † 1973 ) was a German manager.

Career

Novotny completed a commercial apprenticeship. He initially worked for various associations and organizations in Prague and Vienna. In 1946 he joined the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg. He became head of the press and public relations department and, after the company's transformation into a stock corporation, became a member of the board in August 1960. He was a close confidante of General Director Heinrich Nordhoff and knew how to put his work in the right light with media presentations that were worked out in close cooperation.

After Nordhoff's death in the spring of 1968, Novotny increasingly lost influence. At the end of 1970 he left the VW board for reasons of age.
