Frank Pfeil (born March 28, 1960 in Wittenberge ) is a German administrative officer. From December 2017 he was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Environment and Agriculture . Since December 2019, again under Minister of State Thomas Schmidt , he has been State Secretary in the newly established Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development .

Life

Pfeil graduated from the teacher training college in Dresden (PHD) with a diploma in geography and mathematics. He stayed as a research assistant at the PHD, where he was most recently academic secretary and consultant in the university management from 1989 to 1992.

After the university closed, Pfeil stayed in Dresden and switched to the Saxon civil service, where he took on tasks in the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior , the State Surveying Office of Saxony and the Dresden Regional Council . In 2006/2007 he was head of the administrative reform department in the Ministry of the Interior. From 2009 he was head of department in the same department.

Due to the formation of the Tillich III cabinet as a result of the Saxon state election at the end of August 2014, Pfeil was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Culture from November 13, 2014 to December 2017. In the course of the formation of the new cabinet by Michael Kretschmer , Pfeil was appointed State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Environment and Agriculture on December 18, 2017. Since December 2019 he has been State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development.
