Frank Schäfer (* 1966 ) is a German writer .

Life

The freelance author lives in Braunschweig and writes regularly for the daily newspapers NZZ , Junge Welt and taz as well as for the magazines Rolling Stone , Titanic and Beton . He wrote his dissertation on Lichtenberg and Judaism in Braunschweig. In addition to various collections of essays, he published non-fiction books on literature and pop culture . In 2001 his debut novel with the title Die Welt ist ein Scheibe was published by October Verlag Münster. Schäfer was one of the co-editors of the magazine Griffel . As a guitarist, Schäfer played in the heavy metal band Salem's Law in the late 1980s and early 1990s .
