Frank Tiesler

Frank Tiesler (born April 20, 1938 in Dresden ) is a German ethnologist and politician ( DSU ).

Life and work

After attending school, an apprenticeship as a mechanic and training as a forest surveyor, Tiesler studied ethnology at the Humboldt University in Berlin until 1965 . He graduated with a degree in ethnology . In 1974 he was with the work of settlement history and style provinces in northern New Guinea Dr. phil. PhD. In the same year he became scientific department head at the Museum für Völkerkunde Dresden . In 1990 he became a curator there .

politics

Tiesler joined the DSU in January 1990 and was elected to the People's Chamber in the Dresden constituency in March 1990 . From May to October 1990 he was Parliamentary State Secretary in the Foreign Ministry of the GDR . In October 1990 he was one of the 144 MPs sent to the Bundestag by the People's Chamber . He was a member of the Bundestag until the end of the electoral term in December 1990 and was a guest of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group .
