Frank Vincent (musician)

Frank Vincent (born April 10, 1938 in Falconer , New York, † April 17, 2014 ) was an American jazz pianist who was active in the music scene in Cincinnati .

Frank Vincent played in the trio of drummer Dee Felice in the early 1960s; In 1968/69 he accompanied James Brown on recordings in Cincinnati and Los Angeles. He also worked for several years with guitarist Kenny Poole and drummer Ron McCurdy , with whom he performed at the Carousel Inn in Sycamore Township. The Frank Vincent Trio also played regularly in the Celestial Incline Lounge in Mount Adams. Vincent recorded two albums under his own name, Close Enough for Jazz (2001) and Melange (2002), on which bassist Mike Sharfe and drummer Marc Wolfley played. In the field of jazz he was involved in 19 recording sessions between 1963 and 1998. a. a duo album with Cal Collins ( Just Friends , 1989). A stroke and a heart attack in 2011 ended his career.
