The Frankenallee is an avenue in Frankfurt am Main that runs right through the Gallus district and forms one of the main access roads. It begins at Güterplatz, is interrupted by the railway embankment on Schlossborner Strasse and ends at the border with the Griesheim district . It runs parallel to the Mainzer Landstrasse to the south and leads through the Hellerhofsiedlung .

Parts of the centrally located green strip and the sidewalks have been rebuilt and embellished in two sections since 2007. A third construction phase is to follow. Tree species in the median include oak , chestnut , plane tree and various types of maple . The weekly market in the Gallus takes place every Friday on Frankenallee.

The headquarters of the media company Frankfurter Societät , the Evangelical Peace Church and the Catholic Maria Hilf Church are located in it . The Gallus House is also located here, in which some of the Auschwitz trials took place. In the immediate vicinity (crossing Frankenallee / Hufnagelstraße) the protester Günter Sare was killed in 1985 .

In terms of traffic, Frankenallee is connected to the S3 – S6 and bus line 52 through the northern exit of the Galluswarte S-Bahn station . After its opening, planned for 2024, also by the U5 line at the Güterplatz underground station.
