The Frankfort TG-1 Cinema was a glider manufactured in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s . The aircraft was designed by the designer "Stanley Corcoran". Series production took place at the Frankfort Sailplane Company in Joliet , Illinois . The term comes from the English term TG T raining G lider.

history

The TG-1 was a shoulder- wing monoplane with braced wings and a completely enclosed cabin. Originally built as a single-seater, however, the two-seater version TG-1A Cinema II became the most popular version. The Cinema II was in 1942 by the army as a training glider for the training of glider pilots used.
