Frankfurt Recess

The Frankfurt Recess (for composition script or book) is a declaration drafted by Philipp Melanchthon and edited by his student Ulrich Sitzinger , in which several German princes committed themselves to the Augsburg Confession and its apology in 1558 . In this declaration they also spoke out in a mediating tone on the internal church disputes of the Protestants.
