Franklin Crawford "Frank" Green (born May 5, 1933 in Chicago ) is a former American sports shooter .
successes
Franklin Green took part in the 1964 Olympic Games in Helsinki with the Free Pistol . With this he scored 557 points, so that he won the silver medal behind Väinö Markkanen and in front of Yoshihisa Yoshikawa . Two years earlier he had become vice world champion in the team competitions with the free pistol and the large-bore pistol in Cairo . In the latter discipline he became world champion in Wiesbaden in 1966 . At the 1963 Pan American Games in São PauloGreen won gold medals in both individual and team competition with the free pistol. He repeated this success with the team in Winnipeg in 1967 . In 1968 he became the American champion with the free pistol.
Green was a major in the US Air Force .
