Pan American Games 1967
The 5th Pan American Games were played from July 23 to August 6, 1967 in the Canadian city of Winnipeg . The city won the bid during the PSO meeting on the sidelines of the 1963 Games after a first candidacy for the 1959 Games had failed.
The central competition venue was the Canad Inns Stadium .
Competitions in 18 sports were held during the Pan American Games. The most successful nation was the United States with a total of 244 medals.
