Pan American Games 1963

The IV. Pan American Games were played from April 20 to May 5, 1963 in the Brazilian city of São Paulo .

1,665 athletes from 22 countries took part in the games. The central competition venue was the Estádio do Pacaembu .

Competitions in 19 sports were held during the Pan American Games. The most successful nation was the United States with a total of 199 medals.
