Frans Hombörg (born June 11, 1898 in Amsterdam , † December 17, 1943 ) was a Dutch football player . He was used twice in the Dutch national team in 1929 .

Hombörg played for Blauw-Wit Amsterdam in the 1920s . In June 1929, the striker was appointed to the squad of the Nederlands elftal and initially played in an unofficial match against Scotland , which was lost 2-0 on June 4, 1929 in front of 24,000 spectators at the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium .

Then Hombörg went with the team on a friendly game trip to Scandinavia. In the first game in Stockholm against Sweden he made his official debut in Oranje on June 9, 1929 - just like Sjaak de Bruin and Koos van der Wildt - but could not score in the 2: 6 defeat. In the second game in Oslo he was also in the starting line-up, but was substituted in the 41st minute after the Norwegians had scored the goal to make it 3-1 (the game ended 4-4); Jaap van der Griend came on for him . Hombörg was not able to score a goal in this, his last, appearance in the national team.
