The first owner of the place was the Tluk family from Tošanovice, later Vojkovice became part of the Friedeck estate . The residents lived from agriculture and house weaving. The village benefited from its location, a trade route ran through the bottom of the three brooks. The residents offered the merchants who traveled through on the road between Teschen and Friedeck, for ample payment, their services in tackling the climbs in the valley. In 1846 the first village school opened, before the children were taught in Dobrá.

After the abolition of patrimonial Woykowitz formed a community in the Teschen district from 1850. In 1877 the school got its own school house. From 1908 the place belonged to the Friedek district. The Beskid herbal liqueur Vojkovická hořká became famous . The schnapps originally produced in the Glesinger distillery was produced in the Jokl distillery from 1926. After the end of the war Vojkovice came back to Czechoslovakia and was assigned to the Okres Mistek in 1948. In 1952 the schnapps production in Vojkovice was stopped.
