Neighboring towns are Susow, Záluží and Podlesí in the north, Horni Žukov in the Northeast, Běrnoutí, Hůrka and Vělopolí the east, Střítež the southeast, Hnojník and Vyrubané in the south, Fifejdy and Horní Tošanovice in the southwest, Mušalec, Zavadovice, Dolní Domaslavice and Volovec in West as well as Zadky and Vrazidlo in the northwest.

history

The village was founded in the 14th century; it was not yet listed in the tithe list from 1305. The first written mention of Třenkovice comes from the year 1431. The village belonging to Mikuláš Pelchrzim von Trzenkowitz ( Pelhřim von Třanovice ) at that time was located at the crossroads of two old trade routes that led from Poland to Austria and from Hungary to Moravia. His son Nikolaus Pelhřim von Třanovice sold Unter Třanovice in 1440 to Machny von Třinec. In the first third of the 16th century, the Breslau canon Kaspar Czelo von Czechowitz owned the village. He sold it to Kaspar Tluk from Tošanovice in 1533. At that time the place was called Třankovice . Later Strzankowicz , Strzenkowicz and Střanovice were also used .

The Tluk of Tošanovice held the village until 1604. Subsequently, the rule was divided.

The owner of the Ober Trzanowitz estate with 16 properties was from 1607 to 1628 Christoph Šobišovský von Šinovice. Nieder Trzanowitz belonged from 1619 to Wenzel Herzan von Harras . From 1633 the Herzan von Harras were also owners of Ober Trzanowitz. 1651 acquired the Tluk from Tošanovice Nieder Trzanowitz. Other owners of Ober Trzanowitz included the Šobišovský von Šinovice, from 1698 the Counts Stoltz and then the Karwinski von Karwin and Lhotský von Lhota.

In 1745 Georg Bees bought Lower Trzanowitz from Chrostin and three years later also most of Upper Trzanowitz. In 1753 he sold Nieder Trzanowitz to Joachim Wenzel Posadovský von Posadov, from whom it acquired the Rousecký von Ejvan in 1768. From 1804 the Galgon family owned Nieder Trzanowitz. In the 19th century, iron ore was mined in the northern corridors on the border with Hradiště and delivered to the Baška and Třinec smelters . After the construction of the railway from Kaschau to Oderberg , mining was stopped because the smelter obtained better ore on the railroad. In 1845 Nieder Trzanowitz including the associated means Trzanowitz consisted of 67 houses and had 457 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial rule, the municipality of Trzanowitz with the districts Nieder Trzanowitz and Ober Trzanowitz in the Teschen district emerged from 1850. From 1920 the place belonged to the Český Těšín district. In 1930 the community consisted of 68 houses and had 364 inhabitants. In 1938 Trzanowice came to Poland as part of the Olsa region . From 1939 to 1945 Trzanowitz belonged to the Teschen district and returned to Czechoslovakia after the war. The two estates owned by the Bees-Chrostin family (Horní Třanovice) and Bruno Kappel (Dolní Třanovice) were confiscated. After the dissolution of the Okres Český Těšín, the community was assigned to the Okres Frýdek-Místek in 1961. In 1980 Třanovice was incorporated into Hnojník , since 1989 the community has existed again. Since 1997 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner. Třanovice consists of 275 houses. A strong Polish minority lives in Třanovice, which makes up around 21% of the population.
