history

The first written mention of the village Bučkova Lhota comes from 1455. The name of the place has changed several times over the years. In 1506 it was passed down as Lhota and the names Valašská Lhota and Střižná Lhota exist from the beginning of the 16th century . From 1621 the place was called Ves Elgotka , later Střední Lhota , Prostřední Lhota , Elgoth , Ligotka Gnojnicka , Lhotka nad Hnojníkem , Líhotka and since 1808 Litka . From 1885 the name was Lhotka and in 1884 the current place name was created. This was changed at the beginning of the 20th century to Ligotka Kameralna or Cameral Elgot to differentiate between places of the same name. Quarries used to be operated in the Ráztoka Valley, in which the gray-green Godula sandstone and slate were extracted. Most of the inhabitants were Protestant and until 1781 met for secret services on the Godula.

After the abolition of patrimonial Cameral Ellgoth formed a political municipality in the Teschen district from 1850. In 1860 the farmer Jiří Valica opened an herbal bath at the foot of the Godula. In 1880 the mayor Adam Walach founded a hydrotherapy institute. In the valley of the Ráztoka a shooting range of the Austro-Hungarian army was established in 1893 at the foot of the Ropička mountain. From 1920 Komorní Lhota belonged to the Český Těšín District. In 1921 the herbal bath was expanded and converted. After the First World War, the water sanatorium was turned into a tourist hotel. In 1936 the Czechoslovak army gave up the firing range.

In 1938 Ligotka Kameralna came to Poland as part of the Olsa region . From 1939 to 1945 Kameral Ellgoth belonged to the Teschen district and returned to Czechoslovakia after the end of the war. after the dissolution of the Okres Český Těšín, the community was assigned to the Okres Frýdek-Místek in 1961. In 1980 Komorní Lhotka was incorporated into Hnojník , since 1990 the municipality has existed again. A strong Polish minority lives in Komorní Lhotka, with a population share of 21.5% (2001).
