Dobratice ( Polish Dobracice , German Dobratitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers east of Frýdek-Místek and belongs to the Okres Frýdek-Místek .

geography

Dobratice is located at the foot of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids in the Lučina valley . The streams Říčka, Holčina, Zbojičný and Tošenůvka continue to flow in the municipality. To the south rise the Malá Prašivá (706 m), Prašivá (843 m), Čupel (872 m) and Kyčera (768 m). East of the gain of the influent passing dam Žermanice applied supply channel Morávka-Žermanice , the water from the Morávka in the Lučina passes. Behind it is the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech plant . In the north runs the railway line from Frýdek-Místek to Český Těšín , parallel to it runs the expressway R 48 , to which Dobratice has no connection.

Neighboring towns are Dolní Tošanovice and Šprochovice in the north, Horní Tošanovice in the Northeast, Lesní Dvůr, Hliníky and Komorní Lhotka in the east, Podlesí and Stonávka in the southeast, America in the south, Kamenité and Vyšní Lhoty the southwest, Hranice and Bukovice in the west and Vojkovice in northwest .

history

Dobratice was founded together with Potměšovice between 1458 and 1471 during the reign of George of Podebrady . The village was first mentioned in writing in 1602 on a partition slip issued by Duke Adam Wenzel von Teschen for Bohuslav Tluk von Toschanowitz. Together with Bukowitz and half of the village Toschonowitz, Dobratitz belonged to the dominion of Ober Domaslowitz . Owners in the 17th century were Karl Baron von Saint-Genois and the Friedecker priest Andreas Josef Bienek. From 1758 Christoph Wilhelm Marklowsky von Žebrač followed, then Baron von Kaschnitz, who resided in a wooden castle in the village. Later the Dobratitz estate was attached to the rule Unter Toschonowitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial Dobratitz / Dobratice formed a municipality in the Teschen district from 1850. In 1852 the first school lessons took place in Dobratice. In 1871 the school moved into its own new school house. The church was built between 1863 and 1865. The village was parish to Domaslawitz until 1868, when the church of St. Jakobus and Philippus was elevated to a parish church, in 1888 the railway from Friedeck to Teschen started operating and Dobratitz was given a train station.

After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the community became part of Czechoslovakia in 1918. Because of the large Polish population, Poland also claimed the Olsa area and the Polish-Czechoslovak border war broke out . From 1920 Dobratice belonged to the Český Těšín District. After the Munich Agreement , Dobracice was annexed to Poland in 1938 . The Račok brook formed the border between Poland and Czechoslovakia. In 1939 Dobratitz came to the German Reich after the occupation of Poland and belonged to the Teschen district until 1945 . After the end of the war the village came back to Czechoslovakia and was assigned to the Okres Místek. Since its dissolution in 1962, Dobratice belongs to the Okres Frýdek-Místek . 1980 the incorporation of Dobratice as a district Dobrá 2-Dobratice in the municipality Dobrá . In 1990 Dobratice became independent again. The community has had a coat of arms since 2004.
