history

Krásná arose during the Wallachian colonization of the Beskydy Mountains in the first half of the 17th century. The first written mention of the new village of Krasna can be found in 1639 in the land register of the Friedeck rule. From 1664 the village is also noted in the land register of the rulership. The residents lived in modest circumstances and in the years 1767, 1771 and 1785 there were revolts against the Friedecker rule in the village. A stately bailiff was appointed for the jurisdiction. The main food base was cattle breeding, especially sheep, supplemented by home weaving and logging. During the transition from the 17th and 18th centuries, ore mining was also carried out; processing took place in Althammer . In 1803 the village had 473 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Krasna formed a municipality in the Teschen district from 1850 , and from 1908 it belonged to the Friedeck / Frýdek district. The population grew rapidly in the second half of the 19th century. Between 1851 and 1869 the population tripled from 528 to 1757. The highest number of inhabitants of the place was reached in 1880 with 1882.

In 1950 the community was reclassified to Okres Místek and after its dissolution it has belonged to Okres Frýdek-Místek since 1961 . In 1980 Krásná lost its independence and was named Morávka 5-Krásná to the district of the large municipality Morávka . The municipality of Krásná has existed again since January 1st, 1991.

The village is now a resort.
