Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Jablunkov in the Beskids and belongs to the Okres Frýdek-Místek . The most easterly point of the Czech Republic is located in the corridors of the municipality at 49 ° 33 ′ 1 ″ N , 18 ° 51 ′ 32 ″ E.
Bukovec (German Bukowetz , older also Bukowitz , Polish Bukowiec ) is the easternmost municipality in thegeography
Bukovec is located to the left of the Olsa in the Jablunkovská brázda between the Silesian Beskids and the Jablunkauer Uplands . The village extends along the Olsa tributary Zarembčok to the southeast to the foot of the Sušanský vrch (618 m). To the northeast of Bukovec rises the 571 m high Kempa behind which the road border crossing Bukovec / Jasnowice leads to Poland. The Gírová in the southwest is significantly higher at 839 m.
Neighboring towns are Jasnowice in the east, Łacki and Jaworzynka in the southeast, Komorovský Grúň and Hrčava in the south and Písek in the northwest.

Bukovec was founded on May 31, 1353 by Duke Casimir I of Teschen .
In 1792 a church school opened in the village. Duke Albrecht von Teschen had a new school building built in 1855. In 1914, the last wolf in the Beskids was shot near Bukovec. It was prepared and was exhibited in the Bezruč school in Frýdek-Místek for a long time . In 1921 a Czech school was established and in 1937 it moved to a new school building. The tourist hut on Gírová was opened on July 9, 1932. After the Munich Agreement , Bukowiec fell to Poland in 1938. On June 25, 1939, the Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary was consecrated. After the German occupation of Poland, Bukowetz became part of the German Empire as part of the Teschen district .
After the end of the Second World War, the place came back to Czechoslovakia and belonged to the Okres Český Těšín, which was dissolved in 1960. In 1975 it was incorporated into Jablunkov , where Bukovec formed the Jablunkov V - Bukovec district until its independence was restored in 1990.
